The participants see 1007 error “Fail to connect”

Option 1: try some following selections:

  • Update your browser to the newest version
  • F5 (refresh) the online class many times (reason: firewall of your devices may prevent connecting), you can try F5
  • Restart your computer
  • Choose another wifi connection

Option 2: Reset Browser Settings

If you have trouble blocking internet access when using your browser, try to fix it by restoring the settings to default. For example, on Google Chrome

  • Open Google Chrome on your PC
  • Click on three vertical dots icon at the top right corner to customize and control Google Chrome
  • Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
  • Scroll to the bottom in the left pane to find the Advanced section.
  • Select Reset and clean below it.
  • Select Restore settings to factory defaults in the right pane.
  • Click the Reset Settings button in the pop-up window to confirm action.

Option 3: Reset your computer firewall 

  • Press Window + S, enter Windows Firewall
  • Select Windows Defender Firewall at result item
  • Click to choose Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall
  • Click Change settings
  • Google Chrome 
  • Click OK to confirm settings

Option 4: Run the Troubleshoter

  • Press Windows + I on your keyboard to open Settings.
  • Scroll down to find and select Update & Security.
  • Switch to the Troubleshoot option in the left pane.
  • Find the Internet Connection option in Set up and Run in the right pane.
  • Select it and click Run the Troubleshooter
  • Wait and follow the on-screen instructions to complete.
  • Locate Incoming Connections in Find and fix other problems.
  • Repeat steps 5 and 6.
  • Do the same with Network Adapter
